I checked out Baked: New Frontiers in Baking at the library this week.  OH.  After licking each page (not really), I made the Sweet and Salty Cake. OH. OH.  The cake is chocolate but not cake-mix-from-a-box chocolate.  Each layer is topped with a salted caramel sauce.  Heavy cream and sugar to make that beautiful concoction.  THEN, the ganache.  A pound of dark chocolate and a pound of butter.  Mmm hmmm.

Sigh.  I am in love.
