I don't even know how many thousands of stories and books I've read to my kids over the past 18 years. It occured to me at some point that this is what I will miss when they are grown and gone.
Opening Garage Band on my laptop one day, I caught our reading of The Fox Went Out on a Chilly Night with my silly 4-year-old. He loves this book, although if you listen to the short story you may wonder why.
Let them ask questions and chit chat. You'll love listening to their little voices and you'll giggle at their funniness. And don't be afraid to answer their tough questions, even the ones about tobacco ;)
