{pretty, happy, funny, real} for 22 September, 2011

Monday was International Talk Like a Pirate Day. My family (my husband, to be exact) takes this day very seriously. Full costumes. Plundering the neighbors. Grog in bottles. I'm not kidding.

By far, one of the coolest things we had at our festivities this year was the cake made by a friend (the other being my 80-year-old father-in-law's costume. Argggg).

It's pretty, happy, funny, AND real, no?
