{pretty, happy, funny, real} for 15 March, 2012

February and March were full of events for our family. I had a bit of a hard time deciding what to share with you, so here are a few a of my favorites:

{pretty} My girls were just playing with the camera outside one day and the 10-year-old captured the 8-year-old. I love this photo.

{happy} Friends of ours resurrected a dearly-loved ice cream parlor that had closed last year after more than 30 years in business. We got to participate in staff training night (free ice cream! yes please!), and although Christian doesn't look happy here, he really is just being very serious about his sundae.

{very, very cool} Abby (12) took a cooking course at Le Cordon Bleu in San Francisco. She chose an Italian menu, and her group assigned her to make the Panna Cotta. Our head chef declared hers the best! Way to go! How cool is that?

{also cool} We watched a large number of surfers off Paia in Maui last week. This little guy couldn't have been more than 8 or 9. Very cool.
