40 Days of Being Still - Week Four

40-Days-Being-Still.jpg

This has been a humbling journey.

My blog page views have plummeted. Turns out you have to write often to keep people coming back to read. Ha!

Then my site platform Squarespace (which I triple love) stopped communicating with my newsletter service, so you who are subscribed to get these posts in your inboxes didn't receive them. Phooey.

Facebook got all buggy, too, and hasn't been letting the thousands of Preschoolers and Peace peeps there see everything I was posting, either.

What's up with that?

Well, I can tell you what I know. What I know is that in this "business" of blogging (for some it's big business; for me there's mostly a rate of relationship investment), you have to be on top of social media and good content every single day. It's a monster that cannot be satisfied.

I've had to remind myself that God is the one who gives the increase, and there isn't anyone who isn't seeing these posts who should be. Same in reverse: who should be reading is reading. Maybe you all needed the break from reading just as much as I needed the break from writing and promoting.

In the quiet, we're doing stuff like this.

I also wrote over on my author blog this week: Let's Celebrate Failed Relationships. I couldn't keep my mouth shut after reading the content I found on the Cosmo site. Really, when are we going to stop being so stupid?

Thanks for reading. How was your Thanksgiving?
