I've focused on the top supplies we've used over the past 19 years because these are the things that have actually minimized stress and streamlined our workload. 1. CARL Angel-5 Pencil Sharpener
This. Right here. This is the workhorse of our schoolroom. Prior to finding this little machine, I was buying and replacing electric pencil sharpeners at least once a year. Kids would stick a pencil in and it would jam and that would always be the beginning of the end. We've had our original CARL Angel-5 for the past 8 years and the only reason I bought a second one is that I wanted one upstairs and down!
2. Paper Mate Mirado Black Warrior Wood Case Pencil
That's quite a name for a humble little pencil! But these pencils have a story in our home:
We were tried-and-true Dixon Ticonderoga fans until that ill-fated day when we opened a new box and discovered that our beloved pencils were no longer the quality we had once enjoyed. Leads fell out. Erasers crumbled under the pressure. What had happened to our DT's? They'd been outsourced to a country south of the border and now they just aren't what they used to be.

3. PaperPro inSHAPE 15 Reduced Effort Compact Stapler
I love this stapler so much, I made a spur-of-the-moment video about it and posted it on the Preschoolers and Peace Facebook page several years ago.
I've also actually had to hide this one from my kids because they go to town stapling anything and everything just because they think it's fun! And it is. Zippy, quick, easy. That's really all I have to say about that!
Only drawback: You can't open it up and staple something flush or flat. But if you're needing to staple small stacks of papers for school, the PaperPro inSHAPE is your stapler!
4. Scotch Classic Desktop Tape Despenser
It's an add-on item that makes me smile! That happy teal color makes me think of the ocean and the ocean makes me think of the beach and the beach makes me think I'm not actually sitting at a table homeschooling my kids for the 19th year in a row. Ha!
A school supply that makes you feel like you're on vacation? Winning.
(I did, however, also order the tape replacement reels because of my tape-loving special needs son.)
5. Westcott Titanium Scissors
Sharp! Comfortable! Bright yellow and grey (which means I can spot them across the room and know they're MY scissors). You know what I mean.
