10 Days of More JESUS in Christmas- Day 6
It's noisy here. Super noisy. There are 10 of us in this big house and 2 of us cry regularly. The rest of us raise our voices daily: to be heard, to be silly, to vent anger. It's just loud.
It's hard to hear the quiet calling of Jesus, and I have to strain to hear Him most days. I stay up very late most nights just to hear my own thoughts, write a little, or read. That means my mornings can be a little cattywampus, but it's (usually) worth it to me.
Jesus, though. He doesn't want me to drown in the noise. He wants me to open His Word and hear what He has to say, even if it's only a verse.
Is a verse all you have time for today? Then listen closely to every word and let it wash over you and through you until you hear, feel, and know Jesus. Decide today to let one verse each day of this Christmas season live within your soul until you feel that He is near. He loves you so.
As we spend 10 Days desiring more JESUS in Christmas, let's purpose to do this one thing today:
6. Listen closely to the voice of our Jesus.
