Smoothies!- Ten Days of Delighting in Your Preschooler

Smoothie II.JPG

Preschoolers can toss ingredients into a blender and you can whip them up into smoothies. Easy, right? But that's the point of this little series - I'm doing the thinking for you!

The standard around here consists of:

  • plain, unsweetened yogurt
  • Xylitol, a natural sweetener that kills the yucky bacteria on your teeth and in your body
  • frozen fruit

One little trick I've found helpful over the years: freeze coconut milk into ice cube trays to pop out and use instead of ice cubes. Same for overripe bananas: slice them thick and freeze them on a sheet pan flat, then pop them into a plastic storage bag to grab and throw into smoothies.
