Homeschool Library Builder

Are you building a library for your home? Over the years we've tried to collect the best titles, great non-fiction, and books to just plain inspire us. My friend Cheryl of Copperswife has written about the concept of building a heritage library, and if you're wanting to start something similar for your family, her post may be a great inspiration to you.

Enter Homeschool Library Builder, co-owned by two veteran homeschool families dedicated to Christ-centered education. Their desire is to help homeschool families affordably collect books for their literary-based educational needs. They stock both new and used books found in popular literature-based homeschool curricula, as well as select titles to supplement your unit studies.

Whether a book is hard or softcover, like new or ex-library, in good or fair condition, their items are clearly rated by condition and priced accordingly. Items are organized by categories and age level, so you can easily locate what you need!

Sales and promotions are offered each month. They offer a FREE membership program so you will know when they offer 25% off sales, free shipping dates, special event promos (such as their annual Super Bowl Sunday 40% off extravaganza), or featured products. As a member you can earn one "Book Point" for each dollar you spend on merchandise.  Fifteen Book Points equal $1 in your account to use toward future purchases. The more you purchase, the more you earn; earn even more Book Points when you refer friends or promote HSLB virally through your website or blog.  Your Book Points never expire!

Are you a homeschool family with a cottage industry, a creative product, or an online service? If so, Homeschool Library Builder would love to help you get the word out through their website! The cost is absolutely FREE! Simply submit your product for review. If it meets their Marketplace Standards and Guidelines and will serve the homeschooling community, your information will be added to the top of their HSLB Marketplace page.

Until asked to review the site for the TOS Homeschool Crew, I had never heard of Homeschool Library Builder. I am so glad I have now- what a great resource. I do find the site tricky to navigate and not as streamlined and uncluttered as, say, Paperback Swap or Amazon, but those factors may be overlooked if you're wanting a culled pool of titles from which to choose. Aside from that, it's just GREAT to support other homeschooling families!
