{pretty, happy, funny, real} for 3 May, 2012

From our recent travels:

{pretty} flowers in honor of Biola University chapel guest speaker, Billy Kim. It was once said of him that he is the "Korean Billy Graham", to which a Korean friend replied, "No, Billy Graham is the American Billy Kim". I know both men laugh at that, but they both love Jesus passionately and want to see others saved and free. It was an honor and a privilege to hear him glorify God.

{pretty} My husband, 17-year-old, and I hit Washington DC for the 2:1 Conference, the first ever conference for Christian homeschool bloggers. While there we ran like crazy people seeing places we wanted to return to after having been there in 2010. The National Museum of American History was at the top of the list, and their plantings out front were very pretty.

{happy} Also from the Museum of American History, these pots make me happy!

{funny} Mighty Joe found himself in the mirror at Abercrombie and Fitch. I regret I only had my iPhone with me!

{real} Caroline found Bing Crosby's footprints in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

{real} Isn't it the best when you can reconnect with old friends? Robb was in our wedding 21 years ago, and it was a total treat to have lunch with him and his cutie pie son.
