Rest, Rejuvenation, and Vacation for the Homeschooling Mom

Today's Google+ Hangout was a lot of fun! We talked about the need for a summer vacation, taking a break with the kiddos in tow, beach reads, and summer drinks. We kept it short and sweet so that you can grab a moment to watch during your busy summer day.

Summer Drink Recipes:

Homemade Arnold Palmers
6 parts water
1 part sugar
1 part lemon juice
6 black tea bags

Make the tea by steeping the 6 tea bags in a gallon of water for several hours at room temperature. You can always boil the tea if you want to speed up the process.

Heat the sugar, water, and lemon juice until sugar is fully dissolved and a syrup is formed. Cool completely. Add 2 cups water.

Combine both the lemonade and the cooled tea and serve over ice.

Nectarine Mint Tea

Passion Tea Lemonade

Homemade Mocha Frappuccino
